The little ladybugs enjoyed their first visit to the library. They displayed the very best library manners using "quiet voices and walking feet" as they toured the library. We met our librarian, Mrs. Smay, and found our "Clifford" friends in the corner! The children gave a "thumbs up" after enjoying the book, "The Crayon Box That Talked" by Shane DeRolf.
At Center Time we the children enjoyed getting messy exploring with red finger paint. After making pictures and designs, each child
experimented making their very own hand prints
on white paper.
We could not wait to see what was hiding in our special "Magic Basket." It was our special friend, "Mat Man!" We were introduced to all of his important parts, one by one, as Mrs. Mundell pulled them out of the basket. Next we used "Big Lines," Little Lines," Big Curves" and "Little Curves" to make our very own "Mat Man!"Next week we will be thinking about "Mat Man" and his special parts as we draw portraits of ourselves!
